What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is a UK Government initiative, operated by the tax-office, that allows charities to claim the personal income tax back on donations that are made by UK tax payers. This adds 25% to every eligible donation. We've set up all the arrangements to reclaim Gift Aid on behalf of the charities that you support - saving them the admin and hassle. You only need to complete the simple form on our website just before donating and we take care of the rest. You can see a summary of how it works below or, for more details, please visit http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/charities/gift-aid.htm

Gift Aid eligibility

Gift Aid can be reclaimed on donations made by individuals who pay tax in the UK that's more than the Gift Aid on their donations in the current tax year.

If you're a higher-rate taxpayer

If you pay tax at the higher rate you can reclaim relief on your gross donation at the difference between the higher and lower tax rates. You'll just need to attach a statement from us of your donation history to your tax return. Just drop us an email, to giftaidinfo@dinner4good.com, from the email address that's registered on the site and we'll send the report that you need.

If you're not a UK taxpayer

You can still make a much valued donation to a charity but we won't be able to claim Gift Aid.
