Raised £35.58 for GardenAfrica

GardenAfrica currently works in Southern Africa, providing training and support for the most vulnerable and resource poor, enabling them to cultivate their own food rather than depending on aid, and conserve important species to promote health and cultivate plant-based livelihoods.
Working in Namibia, Zimbabwe, Swaziland and South Africa, we establish productive training gardens, each of which become a forum for community exchange where people learn to identify and support their own family and community needs and establish micro-nurseries from which to supply other budding gardeners and smallholders with advice and materials.
These networks are at the heart of providing practical and effective solutions for building community health and livelihoods, ensuring the continuation of vital botanical and horticultural knowledge through to the next generation of carers and providers.
Did you know?
A typical GardenAfrica family plot of just 100sq metres can feed and medicate a family of five, all year round - every year - free from dependency and debt.
£10 will provide starter packs of companion plants for two budding gardeners
£20 will provide a bee hive to increase pollination and productivity in the garden
£75 provides a course of garden training to a lead gardener, who then shares their skills with others in their community
