1.8 million pensioners in the UK live in poverty. They face declining health, loneliness and isolation with an increasing dependence on others. And the population of over 85 year olds is set to double in the next 40 years. Our vision is a society where older people are able to remain in their own homes and connected with their community for as long as they wish because they are getting the support they need.

At Independent Age we help thousands of older people on low incomes to remain independent and give them a better quality of life. Nine out of ten of those we support live alone. We provide them with practical support, financial help and lifelong friendship.
