Lumos works to transform the lives of disadvantaged children by facilitating the end of institutional care for good. It does this in two ways:
There are currently 1 million children living in large residential institutions across Europe. Most of these children are not orphans but from ethnic minorities, poor backgrounds or are disabled. Published research proves that institutionalisation damages children’s health and development, and reduces their life chances. With experts in child protection, public health and social inclusion, and whose advice is sought by other concerned organisations, Lumos is able to effect real and lasting change.
By holding a Dinner4Good for Lumos you'll be helping raise much needed funds to support our work. Thank you, in advance, for your help - it's greatly valued.
